Paper cranes have long been regarded as a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times. In Japanese folklore, cranes were admired for their longevity as they were thought to live for 1000 years. So, traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes, one’s wish would come true.
On March 23rd, we will rally together to mark the 7 year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act’s adoption and will display thousands of paper cranes to symbolize the constituents of CA District 39 who will lose their health care coverage under the GOP’s proposed American Health Care Act and to send a wish to preserve the ACA from repeal and replacement.
We need volunteers to fold paper cranes. Click on photo below for a video tutorial. Origami paper available on Amazon.
If you would like to participate, as well as attend the rally in support of the ACA, please click on photo to RSVP.
