Diamond Bar Candidate Forum

ALL CANDIDATES INVITED!

The Public is encouraged to attend an informative evening with candidates running for the House of Representatives 39th Congressional District. This event is sponsored by the non-partisan League of Women Voters. Doors will open at 630 PM sharp and questions will be received from the audience via note cards and asked of each candidate present. All candidates have been invited, regardless of political affiliation.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy

As of New Year’s Eve, the following candidates are expected to attend (according to Jim Gallagher)

  1. Gil Cisneros (D)

  2. Sam Jammal (D) 
    ~ Attorney, Ex-Congressional Aide, Ex-US Commerce Department Official
  3. Phil Janowicz (D) 
    ~ Education Consultant, Ex-College Professor, Chemist
  4. Ted Rusk (D)
    ~ Building Contractor
  5. Andy Thorburn (D) 
    ~ Businessman, Ex-Teacher
  6. Julio Castaneda (NPA) 
    ~ Business Systems Analyst, Sanders Campaign Activist
  7. Steve Cox (NPA or Independent) 
    ~ Photographer, Journalist

As of 1/8/18, Jay Chen says he will also attend.

Mai Khanh Tran is also invited.
