Support a CLEAN & GREEN FULLERTON 6:30-9pm
June 20 @ 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Please JOIN Ahmad Zahara on Tuesday June 20th at 6:30PM in the Fullerton City Council Meeting as he makes his second attempt at pitching his proposal for a CLEAN & GREEN CITY Resolution to do our part for the Paris Climate Agreement.
Since my first pitch two weeks ago, I’ve been encouraged by the broad support and positive feedback I’ve received from our residents for this resolution that will act as a gesture of good will by the city to reaffirm its commitment to a healthy, clean and green Fullerton.
Please come to the meeting and share your own thoughts with the council on the issues of pollution, climate change and green energy, and let’s open up the dialogue on this important issue that impacts not only our health and safety, but our energy and water bills and our businesses.
Here is the text of the proposed Resolution:
PROPOSAL FOR THE CITY OF FULLERTON TO ADOPT THE FOLLOWING:
“Clean & Green City Resolution”
Whereby the Federal Government shall no longer adhere to the Paris Climate Agreement; and
Whereby pollution is a real threat to the well-being of our people, animals, environment, and local economies; now, therefore, be it Resolved, that the City of Fullerton shall, in the spirit of the Paris Climate Agreement, set forth and adopt its own up-to-date measures and guidelines to counter pollution and fight climate change, so residents, visitors and local businesses of Fullerton may enjoy good quality air, water and open spaces free of harmful pollutants, and so Fullerton may be proud to call itself a clean and green city.
Together we can adopt this symbolic gesture for our families, our environment, and our city, because a clean and green city is a healthy and prosperous city!
Let’s go Fullerton!
